November 8, 2018, Shanghai - DuPont announced today that it will invest more than US $80million to build a new manufacturing base in Zhangjiagang City, Jiangsu Province. The new base is mainly used to blend high-end engineering plastics and produce adhesives to serve customers in the transportation, electronics, industrial and consumer goods markets. The project is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2020, and the expansion of Chinese coatings will be completed in 2023

the production base will be located in Jiangsu Yangtze River International Chemical Industrial Park, supporting the growing market demand for professional materials focused by DuPont transportation and advanced materials division. The new production line mainly produces DuPont ™ Zytel ® Nylon engineering plastic, Delrin ® Homoformaldehyde resin, Hytrel ® Thermoplastic polyester and multi electro-hydraulic servo universal testing machine in building materials base ™ Thermoplastic elastomers (TPE), lubricants and special silicone materials. The base will also include a new production line for automotive adhesives, and plans to produce other special products in the future, which will become the first cross business manufacturing base of new DuPont in China
